Linda Ossowicz
As an artist, Linda looks to design makeup that brings imagination to life. Her drive to pursue a career in makeup design stems from her love of fantasy, whether it’s books, games, or stories and her passion to breathe life into the many characters in our minds. Linda wants to work with the writers and storytellers of our time to bring their visions to screens for the enjoyment and entertainment of others. She taught herself to create designs from a young age and after having chased after many goals in this life, she finally realized it was time to pursue her clear passion in makeup design as a true career.
Bio
Linda Ossowicz is am Atlanta based professional makeup artist specializing in special effects makeup and character design.
From a young age Linda had an artistic spark, and dabbled in many creative pastimes. Linda was captivated by fantasy and period work, be it movies, TV or books, she was entranced. The characters in these works are what ultimately moved Linda to eventually enroll in the Masters Program at The Makeup Designory.
Linda completed cosmetology school in Southwest Florida in 2009 and continued to work in salons for a few years following. Her work in the beauty industry brought out a desire to work with makeup and she began to use her creativity to create unique looks in her free time. She used anything she could find in her house to build new and interesting SFX makeup. She was encouraged by all who saw her work to pursue it as a career. In 2021 Linda moved from Tennessee to New York City to finally chase after a career doing the thing she enjoyed most, makeup design.
Linda is currently working towards a career in the film and TV industry as a working makeup artist. Her goal is to work on fantasy and period pieces to create characters that we all come to love or hate. She hopes to work with up and coming writers and directors to bring their creative visions to the screen for others to enjoy as characters that are unforgettable.
